Unit 7 is the Last MIDI Lecture and MIDI Lab Unit

Unit 8 will go over Quiz 1 answers. Unit 8 lab is for work on project. I will be available during lab time and after class to answer questions.

Units 9-10 are midterm presentations. Units 9-10 have reading homework that will introduce you to digital audio and the early history of electronic music.

Units 11-13 lecutres and readings present an overview of early analog electronic and computer music that paved the way for all music software in use today. You may discover that some of sounds and styles from the 50's and 60's sound remarkably modern, especially considering the "primitive" equipment they had to work with. The labs will focus on digital audio creation and manipulation using the free Audacity audio editor. The lectures, labs, and readings provide background and skills forTake Home Quiz 2.
