Select instrument 2 "Classic Suitcase Mk 1" in the Track list. You should see the EVP88 software synthesizer window appear.
If not, see below.
If the EVP88 window doesn't appear, click the EVP88 blue button in the Inspector panel.
If the Inspector Panel is not visible, click the Inspector button at the top left of the main window.
Play a few notes.
Using the patch popup menu, change to the Suitcase Bright patch.
Play a few more notes.
Drag the green Steinway Piano MIDI track to track lane two.
Rewind to the beginning and click Play.
To specify the start and end points of the loop, you need to click and drag in the upper section of the the arrange window where the measure numbers are located.
Drag across the length of the Steinway Piano MIDI track to fix the duration of the loop.
You should also see the Loop On button highlighted in green in the lower portion of the main window.
Click the Play button. The track should loop continuously.
Click the Stop button when you're done.
There are several knobs controls in the lower section of the EVP88 window.
Click and hold the knob you want to "turn."
Drag the mouse vertically up and the to rotate the knob clockwise.
Drag the mouse vertically down to rotate the knob counter clockwise.
Option click the knob to reset to the default position which is usually zero.
Play track 2 as a loop.
Move the Treble and Bass controls to hear their effect on the sound.
Reset to zero.
Move the Gain and Tone controls to hear their effect on the sound.
Reset to zero.
Move the Rate, Color, and Stereophase controls to hear their effect on the sound.
At their extremes you should hear sound effects similar to the Ring Modulation Octave labs.
Reset to zero.
These effects will be similar to the AM modulation tremolo Octave labs.
The Rate knob sets the number of tremolo's heard per second from 0 to 8.
The Intensity knob sets the amplitude depth of the tremolo.
The Stereophase knob sounded best to me at its default position of 180º.
Play some long sustained notes on the MIDI Controller to hear the Tremolo.
Reset to zero.
The chorus effect mixes several detuned copies of the sound with the original sound.
The Intensity knob controls the amount of "out of tune-ness".
The effect is very subtle.
Click the small triangle next to "open" above the EQ controls.
