MUSC 108. Introduction to Music Technology - Fall 2013

Lab Rules

[Syllabus]

Carleton Public Lab Space Rules

No food allowed at the computers.

Drinks allowed but only in spill-proof containers.

Use headphones for anything that may disturb, interrupt or interfere with others working in the lab. Quiet music may be OK at times.

Do not save your files to a local lab computer. You never know which computer you'll be working on, the computer you used last time may not be available. You should not expect to use the same computer on each visit.

Always save to your USB flash drive and if you're reasonably paranoid to your network home folder as well.

Weitz 138 Public Lab

Open when not used as a classroom. Daily teaching schedule posted outside of the doors. I've been told that if you're in the lab working when the building closes you can continue to work but once you leave your one card will not let you back in. No synthesizer keyboards available outside of class time.

Idea Lab

Several larger keyboard synthesizers available for use.

Music Resource Center (MRC) in the Music Hall

Small 25 key synthesizers available with each of the 7 iMacs.
Schedule posted on MRC door.
