1. Select "Tools"
2. Select "Add-Ins"
3. Check "Analysis Tool Pak" and "Analysis Tool Pak-VBA"
4. Click "OK".
5. Go back to step a).

i) If "Data Analysis" does not appear on your "Tools" menu do the following:

ii) A strange computer behavior we've seen is that the Excel "Data Analysis" simply disappears from the "Tools" menu. If this happens, go to step 1 and start again. At step 3, uninstall (uncheck) the Analysis Tool Pak. Click "OK" .

Then follow steps 1-5, to install "Analysis Tool Pak" and "Analysis Tool Pak-VBA" again.

The menu item will reappear.

Gaining access to the Data Analysis Tools in Excel

a. Select "Tools" in the Menu bar
