Geodynamic Evolution of East African Rift

Required Books and Materials:
None. All readings will be in the form of handouts.

This course will explore the Geodynamic Evolution of East African Rift System.
Main topics that will be covered include; geochronology, petrology, and volcanotectonic
history of the rift. The course will be reading several articles, lectures, and discussion.

Prerequisite: one or two geology classes or instructor's consent.
