Stephen Mohring teaches sculpture, woodworking, and critical theory. He runs the college sawmill program which he developed in collaboration with the Arboretum, producing sustainably harvested lumber for the art department. From 1998 to 2018 he also worked as a resident set designer for Ten Thousand Things, a Twin Cities based company that brings lively, intelligent theater to people with little access to the wealth of the arts. Previously Stephen helped found and direct The Soap Factory, a Twin Cities nonprofit organization that supported emerging artists.
