Math 121

This is the second semester of calculus. Major topics include integration techniques,
applications of integration, log and exponential functions, inverse trig
functions, and infinite sequences and
series. We will be generally following the
syllabus
Please note the following:
- We will be using the *'ed sections in Ch. 7.
- Your homework will be assigned daily and collected daily.
- (Homework Option) If you would rather maintain your homework in a notebook and
have it examined weekly pease consult the instructor.
- We will be having four short quizzes, and an hour-long test in addition to the final.
- The short quizzes will each be about a half-hour long.
- The quizzes and tests will occur about every week, usually on Friday.
- The final will be "open-notes" and will occur at the regularly scheduled
time as scheduled
- Should the schedule cause you any undue hardship, please let me know as
soon as you become aware of the conflict.

What counts (and how much)?
- 4 quizzes @ 10% = 40%
- 1 midterm exam @ 20%
- 1 final exam @ 40%
- homework, projects, etc = 10%
- total = 110%
- Note:Your lowest 10% will be dropped so as to maximize your total.
