In 2005, IUPAP sponsored the 2nd International Conference on Women in Physics as part of the World Year of Physics activities. I had the priviledge of attending as a member of the US delegation.

If you are a women considering graduate school in physics and astronomy, the CSWP has asked department's to self-report on the climate for women in their department and has compiled all of the responses.

Survey of Graduate Programs

Both the Committe on the Status of Women in Physics and the Committe on Minorities in Physics have good information on their web-pages.

Among the groups seeking to provide support for and increase the represenation of minorities in the physics community are the National Society of Hispanic Physicists and the National Society of Black Physicists.
