Meebo Rooms as Chat Reference Option

Spring 2007: Meebo Rooms offers a way to have individual logins for librarians while still offering the log-in-less ease of a Meebo widget (such as the widet that lives near the bottom of the left-hand sidebar of this page).

Blogging

Summer, 2006: As it turns out, blogging is one of the richest professional development activities I've found. I went very suddenly from thinking blogging was a little bit frivolous to maintaining multiple blogs (including my library-related blog, Pegasus Librarian) and reading between 80 and 150 blogs (depending on my time and interest).
